Monster Haunts City

Strange creature sighted again

AN UNIDENTIFIED CREATURE was once more seen in Tokyo. In the latest sighting, witnesses described a “massive, terrifyingly fast, humanoid shadow” at 2 AM Sunday. Dubbed as the "Worm Man", the being crashed into a private residence and took down ten guards before fleeing into the night, apparently unharmed. No cursed energy was detected.

Friend, foe, or furry?

The Worm Man's existence raised concerns on the rise of assassins, thieves, cryptozoology, as well as costumed folk known as "furries".

A BAT-LIKE CREATURE was once more seen swinging by the darkest alleys of Gotham. In the latest sighting, the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD) confirmed a report about a “terrifying, humanoid, bulletproof bat” near the Central Business District at 3 AM Sunday. The creature stopped a robbery and took three gunshots to the chest.

Gotham's Answer to Bigfoot?

Previously thought of as a hoax or an elaborate prank "likely by some louse sleeping on their day job" according to GCPD sources, this development sparked heavy discussion on social media. The second sighting of the phantom now dubbed as "The Batman", "Bats", "The Gotham Cryptid", "Gotham's Knight" and the K-pop-inspired "The Nation's Bat" was the global top trending topic on Twitter yesterday. Batman's existence raised concerns regarding the rise of vigilantes, ufology and cryptozoology, and costumed enthusiasts known as "furries".

Batman—Friend, foe, or furry?

A Twitter poll in particular catapulted the sighting to viral infamy through 1.1 million likes and 600,000 votes (with Batman leading by 78%) after billionaire industrialist and philanthropist Bruce Wayne quote-retweeted it with bat, foot, and speak-no-evil monkey emojis. The Bat v Bigfoot poll was originally captioned by user ser_Nygma with "Riddle me this—In or out of the cave?" ser_Nygma later got into an online spat with Bigfoot stans after he NEXT PAGE>>
